B I O G R A P H Y

Born in Nice, France, Diane Aidenbaum began studying the violin as well as the saxophone at the National Conservatory in Nice.

After obtaining a 1st prize in violin and chamber music at the Nice Conservatory, she obtained a Master of Music at the Royal Superior Conservatory in Gent (Belgium), as a student of Lilya Umnova.

She continued her studies in Maurice Hasson’s class at the Royal Academy of Music in London and obtained a Master of Performance with Merit and a teacher degree (LRAM). Diane Aidenbaum is also invited to participate in many festivals in soloist, including ‘Blossom Festival’ in Gent (Belgium) on the opening night tribute to Steve Lacy, as soloist and duetting with Mikhail Bezverkhny, ‘Musiques en Vacances’ in La Ciotat (France), ‘C’est Pas Classique’ in Nice (France), ‘Rencontres Musicales en Montagne Ardéchoise’ (France), ‘Baia Das Gatas’ in Cape Verde, ‘Les Classiques de Villars’ in Switzerland…

In 2008, she was invited by the famous composer and conductor Dirk Brosse to

perform his work, ‘Black and White, and in Between’, at the gala evening for the ‘Achiel Van Acker’ prize in Bruges, Belgium.

To this day, Diane Aidenbaum has begun an international career spanning Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Bucharest (Romania), England, China, Brazil as well as many French towns, as a soloist and in chamber music.

Her repertoire extends from baroque to contemporary music. She has formed a duo Violin and Classical Accordion with Aude Giuliano playing a wide repertoire composed from their own arrangements including Debussy, Bloch, DeFalla, and Piazzolla… which has been performed internationally for the past 4 years. She is currently playing with Benjamin Bruant in an original duo Violin and Guitar, including a Spanish repertoire and their arrangements of Debussy, St-Saëns, DeFalla, and Granados.

She is performing regularly with pianists Emeline Archambault and Riyad Nicolas in concerts and festivals.

In 2018 she joined The Infinity Orchestra where she collaborates with Okiem Warmann on corporate events, concerts and music festivals. With Okiem and The Infinity Orchestra, she toured all around Europe with a rendition of Dr Dre’s 2001 album and performed at the O2 arena with Burna Boy and collaborated on the track for his Grammy award performance in 2021.

Diane is an active educator and holds teaching positions at London Youth Conservatoire, Garden House for Girls and as director at East Dulwich School of Strings.
